I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence but it seems like this summer the weather’s usually really nice during the week and then saves all the crappy weather like thunderstorms for the weekends. It was no exception for Erin and James’ wedding where I assisted Joee along with Kevin, it was beautiful sunshine all week but it was also forecasting heavy rain and thunderstorms for the whole weekend! The bad weather seemed so inevitable that plan B and potentially plan C were in the works so that we could have a dry spot for photos! However, Saturday rolled around and Joee, the lucky charm for good weather, pulled through again! We had sunshine like you wouldn’t believe and it didn’t rain until everyone was seated under the tent for the reception.
Erin and James held both their ceremony and reception at the Miller Lash House in Scarborough which is adjacent to the University of Toronto – Scarborough Campus. The grounds there were beautiful, it felt like you’ve driven a few hours north, far away from the city! The House itself was very quaint, not a lot of additional decor was needed but with all the little details that Erin and James added for their wedding, they made it a perfect reflection of them.
