Flora + Brandon | Wedding

We knew that Flora and Brandon’s wedding was going to be great when we got to spend the morning catching up with old friends and getting to know new ones. Gary and I arrived at Brandon’s parents’ house where Flora and her girls were getting beautified by the super talented Maggie (make-up) and Ming (hair). It’s also where I finally got to meet Esther (who was the one that contacted me initially), Flora’s MOH, who’s friends with my sister’s best friend, they all know each other from when they used to dance together in Queen’s. How’s that for 6 degrees of separation lol. I knew that Flora used to dance but little did we know that later on both Flora and Brandon would surprise us with an amazing dance number for their first dance.Flora’s jewelery was a gift from her parents that they bought for her when she was born waiting for this special day to arrive.Francis spent the morning with the guys, initially it sounded like it was going to be a relaxing morning of golf for them but the real work started after golf. The guys pitched in to help setup the beautiful outdoor ceremony space at the Richmond Hill Country Club. Once that was done then the guys could finally get ready themselves.Moments before the ceremony was about to start the dark clouds started rolling in…Seriously her bridesmaids were such troopers, I mean just look at Jenny, the rain didn’t phase her at all and at that point it was coming down hard.So before Flora started walking, they decided that it was getting way too wet and we had to go to plan B and move everything indoors. While they were doing the ceremony switcheroo Brandon entertained the guests by playing the piano, these two are so talented! Finally the moment that Brandon’s been waiting for, seeing his bride walk down the aisle towards him 🙂Never seen them happier 🙂After the ceremony ended, the storm also ended, so we were able to sneak outside for their creatives with the beautiful after the rain light. Before the reception started, they had an intimate tea ceremony for close family. This is were Brandon impressed us with his Cantonese. Flora’s dad doesn’t speak English so Brandon’s been taking Cantonese classes so that he can communicate with him better in the future, now that’s care and definitely respect, big thing for Chinese people.Alright, let’s get the night started!Their first dance was nothing short of twirls, lifts, bends and loving gazes. When the dancing started, everyone got out on the dance floor for a good time.Even Brandon’s hilarious grandpa didn’t miss out on the fun, he was completely surrounded by the ladies 😉What an unforgettable wedding! Thank you Flora and Brandon for making me and my team part of your big day! Especially when you thanked us in your speech, you guys really made us feel special. It was wonderful getting to know your friends and family, also learning more about you guys through everyone’s speeches and the slideshow. I’ll never forget the one image of Brandon dyed completely in purple! Wishing you guys nothing but the best as you build your lives together 🙂
