Christine + Aldwin | Wedding

A couple days earlier at Christine + Aldwin’s rehearsal, everyone seemed pretty stressed, like most weddings there were lots of little details left to finalize. What a contrast it was to the day of their wedding, Christine’s bridal suite at the Westin Prince was the calmest one I’ve ever walked into. Christine was relaxing on the couch, the girls were doing their own things to keep everything running smoothly and Janey, Christine’s awesome MOH was there every time anyone needed absolutely anything and all this while some good ol’ 90’s slow jams were playing in the background. Christine was so calm that we all kept asking her if it’d hit her yet that it was her wedding day, “Nope, not yet”, it wasn’t until we got her in her dress that it finally hit her and everything became very real. On the flip side, Francis was hanging out with the boys, they really knew what they were doing because they finished getting ready early and showed up ahead of schedule. By the time I saw Aldwin right before the ceremony, he seemed pretty nervous and anxious to see his bride. Apparently, Christine is the one that usually has to wait for Aldwin, so it was fun to see the role reversal, a little preview into marriage lol.undefinedundefinedChristine’s elegant dress by Ella and her “Choos” as her one of her bridesmaids, Sabina would say. Sabina was on Choos patrol that day 😉undefinedundefinedAlicia did a beautiful job on the girls’ hair and make-up. I especially love the colour of Christine’s lips.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedChristine, you’re gorgeous!undefinedSeriously this ring bearer and flower girl were way too cute!! Grace, was really nervous about walking down the aisle, so Braedyn, being the little gentleman that he is, helped her with the flower tossing all the way to the front. Eventually Grace ran into the arms of her dad leaving Braedyn behind, he kept his composure until he got to the front and handed the flower basket back to Grace, then he turned around and bolted all the way back down the aisle and disappeared into the back of the room. The whole room cracked up laughing!undefinedundefinedundefinedNot a dry eye in the room.undefinedundefinedAfter the wedding ceremony, Christine + Aldwin did both a Chinese and Korean tea ceremony. During the Korean tea ceremony, one of the traditions was for the parents, uncles and aunts to toss dates (representing boys) and chestnuts (representing girls) and Christine and Aldwin would have to catch them symbolizing how many kids they would have. Let me tell you, Christine and Aldwin will be pretty busy the rest of their lives because everyone grabbed fists full of dates and chestnuts lol!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedAldwin, now that wedding planning and basketball season is over, you’ll have more time to spoil Christine. I’m so happy for you guys and your friends said it best “A fairy-tale romance come true!” I’m super excited for what comes next for you guys! Better start getting busy, you guys have a lot of babies to make 😉 Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Chan!
