Lorraine + ArJay | Wedding

A couple weekends ago I assisted Claudia at Lorraine and ArJay’s wedding. My morning started out bright and early in Brampton at ArJay’s friend’s house. It seems like grey is the new black for men’s attire this year. I think the guys are thankful for that, especially with all the heat and humidity we’ve been having all summer long.  ArJay and the guys picked up on this trend too and I have to say that they looked super sharp in their grey tuxes with their dark purple accents.

Their ceremony took place at the St.Ignatius Loyola Church in Missisauga. ArJay was pretty nervous all morning while he was getting ready and he was pretty much the same at the church while he was waiting for his bride to arrive. When he finally saw Lorraine walk down the aisle, his nervousness turned into tears of joy! It was so sweet! From the moment Lorraine walked through those initial doors I don’t think their was a dry eye in sight! After the initial tears had dried up they were both beaming at each other through the whole ceremony!I just love the way that ArJay looks at Lorraine!I mentioned that we started bright and early, that’s because Lorraine and ArJay had a very unique high-tea reception at the Four Seasons in downtown Toronto right after their ceremony. Their guests were treated to unlimited coffee, tea, bite-size sandwiches and pastries. The mini cheesecakes were to-die-for! During the reception Lorraine surprised ArJay with a song which was one of her first promises she ever made to him – to sing to him at their wedding.  Needless to say ArJay was floored by the surprise and was so touched! Right after the song he ran towards her and just hugged her like he was never going to let go.

Love.

Kristine + Gino | Wedding

2 Saturdays ago, I headed out to Mississauga to assist Claudia with Justin to photograph the wedding of her old high school friends Kristine and Gino. Kristine and Gino have been together for 10 years and were high school sweethearts, awh! I have a soft spot for high school sweethearts hehe. Justin and I started out the morning at Gino’s house to cover the guys. When we got there the guys were pretty relaxed and joking around like dudes, totally what I would expect from guys. It’s so different being on the “guy side” where things are calm and their to-do list is like 3 items – change, bring the rings and don’t be late! This gave us lots of time to hang out with the guys and really have fun with the photos. Gino and the guys did great, they changed, did a photo shoot, brought the rings and was early at the church!

After the ceremony, we headed over to the  Artifacts Room at Liberty Grand for the reception. The decor was amazing, the room was dark but lit with red spot lights and candles everywhere.  They also had these massive white and gold balloons that were hanging from the ceilings. They were simple but made such a dramatic impact. Everything was beautiful and elegant. We had such an awesome time, Kristine and Gino really know how to throw a memorable party! They laughed, they cried, they partied the night away! Even the kids were killer dancers, busting out all kinds of moves on the dance floor. The whole day was executed flawlessly by their wedding planner, Whitney of Bliss, so much so that we were ahead of schedule! More time to eat, drink and be married.;)

Kaya | Giggles, Grass + Airplanes

Last week my cousins were visiting from Boston and we were talking about how fast their daughter’s growing up and how it’s hard for them to take photos of her since she has so much energy and doesn’t stay still anymore. So when we got together, we took Kaya to a near by park so that she could play and I could take some photos of them.

It’s always so funny to watch kids and their reactions to things that we “grown-ups” wouldn’t even think twice about. Like long blades of grass, little puddles of water and airplanes flying by over our heads. It didn’t matter what Kaya was doing at the park, as soon as an airplane flew by she would stop what she was doing and just watch them with such curiosity. There was also an area with a bunch of trees that she was super determined to get to, it didn’t matter if you picked her up and ran her to the other side of the park, she’d still find her way back to those trees, so random and cute!

Last time I saw Kaya she was barely standing, this time she was running around like a little monkey, maybe next time she’ll be talking! Then she can tell us why she loves watching airplanes fly by;)

Jenna + TeeJay | Wedding

I initially thought July was going to be a slow month, little did I know it was going to go by faster than June! All of a sudden it was the end of the month which meant it was super wedding weekend for me! On the 30th, I got to assist Joee in capturing Jenna and TeeJay’s wedding at the beautiful Miller Lash House. Then the following day I took part in my close friend’s wedding as a bridesmaid. (It was a good reminder of what it’s like to be on the other end of the camera! And a tough day to be without my SLR hehe.)

I had such a great time being behind the camera at Jenna and TeeJay’s wedding, everyone was so happy for them! They’ve been together for many years so there was a lot of anticipation for them to get hitched! So of course there was a little bit of nerves, lots of excitement, endless smiles, and some happy tears at their intimate wedding ceremony. I will always remember how emotional their wedding day was!

Also, the gorgeous flowers were done by Fucsia Designs, I’ve heard so much about them and it was amazing to finally see their work in person! Every last detail was perfect to match Jenna and TeeJay!

Pam + Dal | Knot Tying Marathon

Where do I even begin with Pam + Dal’s unforgettable nuptials celebration? Well, it was about a month ago and Joee had invited me to help him photograph one of his best friends’ wedding; the stunning Pam! I was more than excited because I’ve never been to an Indian wedding and from what I heard there was going to be lots of colours, bling and food which was right up my alley. It was a week long celebration filled with tons of friends, family, traditions, singing, eating and lots of love! It was definitely a treat to be have been able to take part in Pam + Dal’s wedding, words really can’t describe so I’ll let the images do the talking!

I had a tough time narrowing down my favourite shots from the wedding. In the words of Pam, it was siiiiiicccckkkk!:)
